What is it?
Rehabilitation, also known as exercise rehabilitation or rehab, involves using structured physical exercises within a gym or fitness setting to aid in recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
Physio-led Rehabilitation at Holme Farm Physiotherapy
The sessions will be overseen by a physiotherapist and will last 45 minutes.
Following each session, your physiotherapist will create a personalised exercise program for you to complete at home between appointments.
This program will be sent by email, containing detailed instructions, accompanied by photos, and instructional videos for each exercise prescribed.
Sessions can take part either in the on-site gym or within the treatment room, depending on individual preferences and abilities. Access to the gym requires the ability to navigate one flight of stairs.
Our fully equipped gym includes Cross Trainer, Treadmill and Recumbent Bike. Concept 2 rowing machine, Wattbike Atom, Cable Weights System, Free weights rack and various supporting equipment such as resistance bands, gym ball and Bosu Balance Trainer.

Pre-Rehabilitation
Pre-rehabilitation is a vital component of the rehabilitation process.

Check in calls
Once both you and the physiotherapist are satisfied with your progress, there may be an option for check-in calls to facilitate ongoing monitoring and adjustments, eliminating the need for physical attendance. This option can be considered when deemed appropriate by both you and the physiotherapist.
Calls will take part on Zoom, lasting approx. 15-20 mins.
